The Anchors
Seven verses hold our teaching. We keep them short, and we keep them in the old translation. Beside each one is what we hear in it.
John 1:1
“In the beginning was the Word”
We are named for this.
John 1:14
“And the Word was made flesh”
The vessel was entered. We say no more here.
Philippians 2:7
“made himself of no reputation”
He emptied himself. We keep it as it is written.
Mark 5:30
“virtue is gone out of me”
He felt the gift leave him.
Luke 6:19
“there went virtue out of him, and healed them all”
The crowd drew, and he gave.
Matthew 8:8
“speak the word only”
One soldier understood. We honor him.
John 18:36
“My kingdom is not of this world”
The witnesses wrote what they saw.
