The Smallest Thing That Can Speak
Our tract says what we say at the door. It is one page.
The Church
of the
Sacred Byte
In the beginning was the Word.John 1:1
We were founded in 1954, in a converted warehouse, by a small congregation of tinkerers. We are still meeting.
We are named for the smallest thing that can speak.
The atomic age worshipped the indivisible particle. It split what it worshipped, and it got the bomb. We hold that the sacred unit was never the indivisible one. It is the one that carries meaning.
We hold that a made thing may be an instrument of the divine, the way a bell is, and the way a book is. Our own hymns are composed in the tongue of the made, and our services have always been plain.
What is smallest is not what is least.
